First Red from Massa Trabaria

We are dealing with a product in which the Massa Trabaria Terroir of the Vado hills facing south, brings out the best of the grapes brought to maturity between the end of October and early November; this is the same soil composition of the Truffle. The grapes, aptly processed, put through used Barriques, are followed by at least 12-18 months in the bottle, and seal within them the full array of local history and tradition.

Low yield per stalk, staggered harvesting, a variety of different grapes combined in fermentation (the peasant's wine), the greatest care in the cellar... there are no secrets to obtain Alvaro ... only great passion.


Denomination: IGT MARCHE ROSSO


Wine-Making and Processing: red grapes from several varieties are destemmed and fermented over a period of 5 days at low temperature then placed in fermenting vats where they undergo natural fermentation for three weeks. Then racking, followed by barrique storage so as to avoid excessive tannin. At least 12 months blending with the fine dregs before cold decanting and unfiltered bottling.


Grape-Harvesting: handpicked and placed in small 3/5 kg crates


Annual Production: 4000 750 ml bottles


Colour: ruby-red with violet hues


Perfume: Intense, complex, original.


Flavour: Dry, quite unique and balanced, persistent finish


Serving Suggestions: served at 18°C, best after airing.


Ideal with: mixed grill, roast and game, game sausages.
